Forum 2040 kick-off meeting
On the 22nd of June, the opening meeting of Forum 2040 will be held. This platform will enable the various stakeholders involved in the Brussels Airport's Strategic Vision 2040 to meet and exchange views on the future of the airport.
Forum 2040 is a dialogue platform set up at the initiative of Brussels Airport Company, aiming to enable Brussels Airport to sustainably develop its Strategic Vision 2040, taking into account a long-term perspective. An approach that balances the economic potential and social development of the airport with its impact on the environment, is the guarantee of Brussels Airport's future development.
220 participants and more than 80 candidates
On the occasion of the launch of Brussels Airport's Strategic Vision 2040, the airport has invited, via different channels, all interested parties to register for Forum 2040.
The 220 people who have applied to participate in Forum 2040 are invited to this session, together with representatives of the local communities of the Brussels-Capital Region and the Province of Flemish Brabant. An independent jury will select 80 candidates, representatives of local residents, citizens, members of civil society, socio-economic players, etc. who will be able to discuss openly and constructively in the sessions to come about the airport and its future development.
Together with 192 other airports from 24 different countries, Brussels Airport is signing up to the ‘NetZeroCarbon2050’ resolution from the ACI Europe airport association not to emit any more CO2 at the latest by 2050.
